Sharon Pottenger, who has had a base at Mamhilad Park Estate for the past four years, launched her latest business, Furnished 4 Less, in the summer. The family-run business sells surplus and liquidated furniture stock by high street retailers including Oak Furnitureland and John Lewis, from the 5,000 sq ft unit. 

“We shifted our business model to a more regional base, mainly so we could offer our own delivery service, and specialised in larger items, so we needed more space,” explains Sharon.

“Using third-party delivery agents is challenging as they are less reliable in terms of punctuality and quality control so we now know for sure they’ll receive it on time and in perfect condition.”

Sharon spoke to Peter Downes, our Operations Manager, who was happy to help identify larger premises on the Park.

“As our various businesses have grown, the team has always been really helpful, accommodating us with extra space so we wouldn’t think of moving anywhere else,” said Sharon.
