New bus service for Mamhilad

Stagecoach will be launching a new bus service from Pontypool Town Hall to Mamhilad Park Estate on Monday 2 September 2024.

Four services a day from Monday to Saturday will run both to and from Mamhilad with the buses stopping at a new designated area beside the exit barrier to the Estate. The journeys have been timed to ensure maximum connectivity for those using public transport:

Subsidised by Torfaen County Borough Council, there will be a flat fare of £1 per journey. 

James Crawford, Chief Executive of Johnsey Estates said: “The introduction of this much-welcomed new bus service is as a result of the joint efforts of our local authority, Torfaen Strategic Economic Forum and our own team to improve the public transport connectivity of Mamhilad. 

“We really hope that as many people as possible will make use of the new service. Indeed, we hope that this is just the start and that we will see more bus routes in due course. It is a case or use it or lose it, so please use it!”
