On Sunday 31st July Mamhilad Park Estate played host to around 100 vehicles for a breakfast gathering organised by the team who brought us the Motors at Mamhilad annual charity car show; and the Sunnyside Breakfast Meet, a growing local group of car enthusiasts.
Changeable weather early in the morning did not deter the 200 people in attendance and with the brightening skies, people enjoyed looking around the eclectic mix of cars and other vehicles on display, which included vintage and classic cars as well as more modern performance and super cars.
Hot breakfasts and beverages were offered by Cafe on the Park, with word quickly spreading among the crowds that the sausage baps inparticular were worth the early start and attendance alone.
£70 was kindly donated from takings on the morning by Penny and Chris from Cafe on the Park to Cerebral Palsy Cwmru, a local charity which helps children in Wales with Cerebral Palsy and their families by providing advice, support and specialist therapy services. Raising funds for charity is very much at the heart of both teams behind the 31st July event, with a combined £15,000 raised between them since 2018 from the annual Motors at Mamhilad car show; and driving days organised by Sunnyside Breakfast Meet.
