Two local sponsorships to support charity and celebrate business

We’ve agreed two new sponsorships to support local charity, St David’s Hospice, and to celebrate business success in the region.

The annual Leading Business Awards recognise business excellence in Torfaen, Monmouthshire and Blaenau Gwent and we’re continuing our support this year with the sponsorship of the Employer of the Year category.

“It made perfect sense to us to support this particular award as we focus on making our occupiers’ lives as easy as possible so they can get on with running their businesses.” said James Crawford, chief executive of Mamhilad Park Estate’s on-site owner-managers Johnsey Estates, who will be presenting the award on the night.

“At the same time, we help our occupier businesses to support their employees’ wellbeing with beautiful grounds they can enjoy during a break plus great on-site facilities including a day nursery, all the services offered by our Wellbeing Hub businesses and our fabulous, newly-opened espresso bar, Coffi Kitoko in the Park.”

Entries are open now until 3rd October with the awards taking place on Thursday 27 November at the Parkway Hotel & Spa.

We’re also continuing as the main sponsor of the Pontypool 10k Home Run on 15th February 2026 with entries now open. It’s in aid of St David’s Hospice Care, which provides free palliative care for people with life-limiting illnesses in south east Wales and their families.

“St David’s Hospice Care does vital work caring for people and their families when they most need it, both at home and at its purpose-built hospice in Newport, so we were keen to continue our support this year,” said James.
